Yesterday’s farming and yesteryear’s cars

What a wonderful weekend stepping back in time I’ve had! On Saturday I went to the Yesterday’s Farming Festival nearby at Dillington House. It was full to the brim with farming machinery, equipment and demonstrations from bygone eras.

It was amazing to watch a live demonstration of ploughing using steam engines to pull the plough from one side of the field to another.

The thing that really turned my head though was an 1940’s Fordson tractor – all that was missing was a land girl!

Yesterday I went to a vintage car rally at Thornfalcon near Taunton and look who we met! Audrey’s sister Ethyl separated at birth and reunited once more!

How many vintage loving folk can you squeeze into an Austin?! …
